Abstract:: Special Specifications 15619.1401 (Temporary Timber Curb), and 15619.1402 (Temporary Timber Median Barrier) are disapproved and Standard Sheet M 619-2 is discontinued. These barriers, used in highway construction zones, have never been crash tested to NCHRP 350 requirements and will no longer be used. Timber barrier intended for use on bridges is not affected by this instruction.
