Abstract:
The NYS Department of Transportation is implementing Trns*port SiteManager, including both Construction and Materials functionality. Implementation of standard AASHTO software enables SiteManager to allow revising this agency's practices to be more consistent with industry-accepted best practices. The revision to the Standard Specifications is to minimize the overall quantity of special specifications. To minimize the quantity of special specifications, as emphasized by SiteManager, the temporary and permanent soil nail wall and grouted tieback specifications have been incorporated into the Standard Specifications. 731-01 Soil Nail Tendon Assembly is created and assigned the material specifications relating to soil nail tendons. 731-02 Grouted Tieback Assembly is created and assigned the material specifications relating to grouted tiebacks.
