Abstract:
The previous Standard Specification Sections for the disposal of petroleum storage tanks (202-3.04, 202-4.03 and 202-5.04) did not adequately address the environmental requirements for the closure of petroleum storage tanks. The new Standard Specification Section 629 adequately addresses the environmental requirements for tank closure and provides numerous other improvements upon the previously existing specifications.
