Section 700 material specifications typically identify the physical properties a material or product must meet. The Materials Bureau establishes quality assurance procedures to evaluate and verify a manufacturer's ability to consistently produce materials meeting these specification requrements. In the development of quality assurance procedures, specification requirements for sampling, testing, and basis of acceptance are established. In order to implement recent revisions to Materials Bureau quality assurance procedures, revision to the corresponding Section 700 materials specifications are required.
