Abstract:
The “AASHTO/FHWA Joint Implementation Agreement for the AASHTO Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware, 2015”, approved on December 21, 2015, places a series of deadlines on when different roadside barriers used on the National Highway System (NHS) must be successfully crash tested to MASH. The first two deadlines affect only W-beam systems and Concrete barriers and are therefore the subject of this Engineering Instruction (EI).
