Abstract:
This EI discontinues the use of 32” tall Jersey Barrier as pier protection and call for the use of 42” tall single-slope concrete for that purpose. This is viewed as a stop-gap measure until the roles of 54” concrete, 42” concrete and steel barriers can be worked out as options for that purpose under more and less demanding conditions, respectively.
