Abstract:
The NYS Department of Labor’s Division of Safety and Health (DOSH) is one of two Divisions within the Worker Protection Bureau. The DOSH oversees ten separate Programs and includes a Licensing and Certification Unit, all of which provides safety and health information and assistance to employers and employees. Additional information is available at the DOSH website at: http://www.labor.ny.gov/workerprotection/safetyhealth/DOSH_INDEX.shtm The DOSH has implemented new regulations for the certification of blasters, pyrotechnicians, and crane and laser operators as issued under 12 NYCRR 61. This was incorporated into §107-05 Safety and Health Regulations.
