- Abstract:
- The use of Box Beam Guide Railing End Assembly TYPE_ IIA has been approved by the FHWA, based on its performance under modified MASH Test Level 3 testing. This end assembly is a replacement for the TYPE_ II currently in use. In addition, this issuance disapproves pay items numbers for specifications referencing “rustic” items that were overlooked in EI 07-029 Elimination of A588 Steel for Guide Rail Design Projects.
